Canberra’s premier southside community market offers arts, craft, books, jewellery, aromatherapy, fashion items, knitting, scrap-booking supplies, candles, local fresh vegies, great food and much more.

From the unusual to the unique, there is always an impressive showcase of handmade arts and craft on display with plenty to appeal to both locals and visitors.

It is currently located indoors at the Tuggeranong Community Centre on the foreshore of Lake Tuggeranong, next door to McDonald’s and a stone’s throw from the Hyperdome Shopping Centre.

HOW DID IT BEGIN?

Three regular market stallholder friends with an interest in Aromatherapy, Jewellery and general Craft decided one day while having a cuppa together that ‘we’ had suffered in the elements for too long to make market-going a pleasure and that’s where the idea to hold an indoor market in Tuggeranong came to fruition.

By holding our market on the last Sunday of each month, our stallholders are able to fulfil their other commitments at other markets around the region. We have been careful to choose dates that won’t interfere with other local markets as we are mindful that everyone needs a fair go.

We have been pleasantly surprised at the overwhelming response to our market and are working hard to make the each month, equally as rewarding for stall holders and buyers alike.
