Stall Holder Profile – Dave Barber – Woodturner

Dave is a self-taught hobbyist wood turner and self confessed “wood nut”; he has been turning since 1992.

Dave Barber As a long-standing member of the ACT Woodcraft Guild, he has been able to develop and refine his turning methods and design skills through interaction with many of the accomplished turners among the Guild membership, notably Richard Raffan and Les Fortescue. While he does produce a range of small to medium sized bowls, Dave is more interested in making a variety of small items (known as “treen”) such as bottle stoppers, cutlery, pens, pencils, lace bobbins and Christmas decorations.    Dave’s logo
