So How Did it Go
The very first indoor market was held in the Tuggeranong Community Centre on 29 July 2007.
Feedback from stall holders and buyers alike has been positive and many stall holders have booked for the next market day.
As always there were a few teething problems. The spaces for sellers had to be reduced in size in order to accommodate the overwhelming response.
The Samoan Church group graciously gave up the Main Hall for a smaller room and we are grateful that they did as we would not have been able to accommodate all the stall holders in a smaller room. As it was we were turning people away on the day who wanted to set up a stall.
Being stall holders ourselves, we know what it is like in Canberra where the winters are bitterly cold and the summers hot, dry and dusty. So an indoor market solves this problem and allows everyone to buy and sell in comfort.
